Laguna Canyon Foundation

Laguna Canyon Foundation is dedicated to preserving, protecting, enhancing and promoting the 22,000-acre South Coast Wilderness.

The South Coast Wilderness comprises 22,000 contiguous acres of open space, including Laguna Coast and Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Parks, Crystal Cove State Park, and open space in the cities of Irvine, Laguna Woods and Laguna Beach. Managed and supported by various government and nonprofit entities, these areas link to form almost 30 square miles of critical wildlife habitat.

Surrounded by Orange County’s busy network of freeways and cities, the South Coast Wilderness provides an increasingly rare and valuable refuge for urban dwellers seeking natural beauty and solitude. Visitors can discover the county’s only remaining natural lakes, a thriving wildlife community, nature centers and interpretive programs, volunteer opportunities, and recreational activities from hiking and birding to mountain biking.

Mercy Warehouse

It is the mission of The Mercy Warehouse to provide food for those in need through the sale of donated goods. We are uniquely able to leverage valuable community and corporate relationships, causing every dollar that we earn in our thrift store to stretch into large quantities of high-quality groceries. We currently feed over 1,000 people every week through our local food bank in Laguna Niguel, our weekly homeless outreaches into Santa Ana and Los Angeles, and through our sponsorship of three orphanages in Tiajuana, Mexico.
In addition to our food ministry, we are also deeply passionate about helping the homeless population of South Orange County. We currently provide clothing, bedding, toiletries, and other needed supplies to those that come to us for assistance. It is our dream to be able to provide support for individuals wanting to get back on their feet and as they secure housing and meaningful employment.

In addition to our family making material donations to this program in 2022, the GlassWood Foundation has made a cash donation to continue their good work in the community.

Davis Phinney Foundation

While it is critical to find a cure, people living with Parkinson’s cannot wait. People deserve to feel better today. We, at the Davis Phinney Foundation, create programs, experiences, information, tools, and invest in research to help people affected by Parkinson’s take control and live well today. Guided by our Science Advisory Board, the Davis Phinney Foundation has supported more than 30 research studies focused on exercise, nutrition, gait, speech, telemedicine, alternative therapies, and other interventions that affect quality of life. Many of these studies have progressed to late-stage clinical research. Others have gone on to receive NIH and PCORI funding. And others have become therapies that are being used today by people living with Parkinson’s. GlassWood Foundation is supporting the Davis Phinney Foundation for 2022 and cheering on Barry and Cathy as they participate in Ride the rockies!

These funds are earmarked to help girls interested in playing soccer but may not be able to afford the cost of the program.
